چکیده

Azospirillum brasilense, a nitrogen-fixing bacterium found in the rhizosphere of various grass species, and increased the plant growth by growth substances produced by the bacteria like indole acetic acid and indole lactic acid which produced by A. brasilense from tryptophan (Tien et al., 1979; Okon and Vanderleyden, 1997; Bashan et al., 2004). Evaluation of 20 years of data indicated that 60 70% of field experiments were successful, with yield increases ranging from 5 to 30% with Azospirillum brasilense inoculation (Okon and Labandera-Gonzalez, 1994). Enhancement of Wheat Root Colonization and Plant Development by Azospirillum brasilense Cd. Following Temporary Depression of Rhizosphere Microflora.

Inoculation of wheat with Azospirillum brasilense, combined with the application of four fungal and bacterium-inhibiting substances to which A. brasilense is resistant in the soil, decreased the rhizosphere population, while it increased wheat root colonization by A. brasilense, even in cases of poor inoculation. The inoculation significantly increased the following wheat plant parameters as we...

Improved establishment and development of three cactus species inoculated with Azospirillum brasilense transplanted into disturbed urban desert soil

Survival and development of cactus transplants in urban, disturbed areas of the desert near La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico, was monitored. Young plants of three species of pachycereid cacti (Pachycereus pringlei, Stenocereus thurberi, and Lophocereus schottii) inoculated with the plant growth promoting bacterium Azospirillum brasilense in an eroded area (a dirt road) had a high survival ra...

Combined effects of clay immobilized Azospirillum brasilense and Pantoea dispersa and organic olive residue on plant performance and soil properties in the revegetation of a semiarid area.

The reestablishment of autochthonous shrubs species is an essential strategy for recovering degraded soils under semiarid Mediterranean areas. A field experiment was carried out to assess the effectiveness of an immobilized microbial inoculant (Azospirillum brasilense and Pantoea dispersa) and the addition of organic olive residue (alperujo), for plant growth promotion of Cistus albidus L. and ...

Survival of Azospirillum brasilense in the Bulk Soil and Rhizosphere of 23 Soil Types.

The survival of Azospirillum brasilense Cd and Sp-245 in the rhizosphere of wheat and tomato plants and in 23 types of plant-free sterilized soils obtained from a wide range of environments in Israel and Mexico was evaluated. Large numbers of A. brasilense cells were detected in all the rhizospheres tested, regardless of soil type, bacterial strain, the origin of the soil, or the amount of rain...

Effect of Azospirillum brasilense inoculation on rhizobacterial communities analyzed by denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis and automated ribosomal intergenic spacer analysis

Nucleic acid-based techniques allow the exploration of microbial communities in the environments such as the rhizosphere. Azospirillum brasilense, a plant growth promoting rhizobacterium (PGPR), causes morphological changes in the plant root system. These changes in root physiology may indirectly affect the microbial diversity of the rhizosphere. In this study, the changes in the rhizobacterial...
